Dan Rua maintains a
professional blog on which he posted
Five Things About Me and invited me to do the same, and then link to five other blogs to "tag" them and encourage those people to continue the chain.
I couldn't help but point out to Dan that with Multiply, all the blogs of people I care to read are already connected through trusted real-world relationships, and there is certainly no need for pyramid-type linking schemes or promotion via email, both of which feel so web1.0 to me.
As I told Dan, however, I think it's a fun idea so I'll participate, and as you can see above, link back to Dan's blog. Perhaps I can convince some of you fellow Multiply members to write five things about yourself, and heck if we all tag our posts '5things' we will be able to see each others' posts in our personal network tag cloud. It's like Dan thought of this idea to highlight all the ways that Multiply kicks ass!
Without further ado, here are five things you may not know about me. This is somewhat challenging, since most of you know me so well already (again highlighting one of the strengths of Multiply -- communication with people you know rather than random strangers). I'm sure most of you will know at least a few of these.
1) I have the ability to expand my throat like a bullfrog. I've never met anyone else who can do it.
2) If I could be any age, I'd be 8 again. 8 was awesome.
3) My wife and I agreed to be married after spending a total of 7 days together, spread across 3 years. We have been married almost 9 years and have two beautiful children.
4) I consider Goedel, Escher, Bach to be my Bible -- it is as much an expression of my "religion" as the Bible or the Koran is to others.
5) I've always dreamed of living in a castle. Someday I hope to.
So now it's your turn! Don't forget to tag your post '5things' !
